Beyond Camera-Based Document Analysis and Recognition: Towards Camera-Based Human Document Interactions

In 2005, I started a new IAPR workshop “camera-based document analysis and recognition (CBDAR)” together with Prof. David Doermann. Since then, the workshop has had progress with new chairs and participants. This time, we have the 9th workshop. Before having the 10th, it would be worthwhile to review our progress to think about possible futures. In my talk, I will show my personal view of a possible future of CBDAR by extending its scope of reading camera-captured materials to enriching the interactions between documents and humans.
